I think its so important that we schedule some time into our week to have a little pamper session. Something i probably don’t do enough, especially working from home i find it really hard to switch off and go into ‘relax mode’. But a bit of me time is essential for keeping yourself inspired by life, doesn’t have to be a spa break, even if its just half an hour out of your day to watch your favourite tv programme. So when Champneys offered me the ingredients for the perfect pamper night in how could i say no!

champneys2

The first essential to any pamper night – snacks! All of the snacks hahaha! I had a gift card for waitrose and although i tried to go for the healthy option of strawberries, i did cave and go for some of my favourite naughty treats… if you can’t have chocolate on a pamper night then when can you?! 😉

I was also kindly gifted a £20 Netflix voucher, the second ingredient to the perfect pamper evening. Netflix is my guilty pleasure. For me there is nothing better than a gripping tv series to really help me switch off from the stresses of daily life. Its only when you catch your reflection in your laptop screen between episodes that you are reminded there is actually a real world out there haha! At the moment i am re watching the whole of the PLL series in preparation for the new season starting next month – my excitement is too much!

Moving on to the stars of the show – what is a pamper night without giving yourself a little tlc with some gorgeous products, and what better products to use than Champneys. I absolutely love Champneys products because they really do give you that indulgent spa feeling at home. On this occasion i decided to trial two of Champneys products: The Restoring Hand & Nail Cream‘ and the Summer Dream Rewarding Butter Souffle. The first thing which i absolutely LOVE about these products is the packaging, it’s modern & fun – Champneys have really reinvented themselves and its a huge yes from me!

I was really excited to try out the Hand Cream as my hands are definitely something i neglect when it comes to skincare. It’s generally just the one thing i never do so its nice to have the incentive to do it when given the opportunity to try a beautiful new product. I found the product a joy to use, not only does it smell amazing it also left my hands and nails feeling nourished and super soft! Packed with lots of vitamins and goodness its no wonder my hands are loving me for it!

The Souffle also did not disappoint. Its an absolute treat to apply, a gorgeous texture leaving your skin feeling velvety smooth. It literally smells like summer in a pot, definitely some peach and mango scents in there to name a few! What i love about Champneys products is they really do feel like luxury products and their packaging is beautiful, but they are so reasonably priced. No matter what your budget every one deserves to indulge in some pamper time and Champneys make this possible! These two products i have used on this occasion i will most definitely be using again!

What are your favourite things to do on a pamper evening? I would love to know 🙂

For me when it comes to makeup the base is the most important component of the look. Without that flawless foundation base to build upon it doesn’t matter how on fleek your eyebrows are or how sharp your winged liner is, it’s not going to do it justice. When it comes to achieving that perfect base i have found that it’s not so much the foundation product you’re using that makes all the difference, it’s the product you prep the actual skin with and the products in your daily skincare routine you’re using.

As you know if you’ve read here before, my skin is particularly dry with flare ups of eczema from time to time, so for me getting my skincare routine right and prepping my skin with the right products is absolutely essential. My absolute hero product for keeping my skin under the best control i possibly can is Cetraben, an emollient for people with dry, problematic and eczema prone skin. If you read my last post you will know that i’m currently working with Cetraben and taking part in the ‘7 Day Skincare Challenge’ which means i’m adding Cetraben into my daily skincare routine and monitoring my results throughout the week. I’m currently half way through the week and the changes in my skin are already apparent. I tend to get patches of eczema around my eye area which results in it being very difficult to apply concealer to my under eye without it creasing and looking cakey, however after just 4 days of using this i am finding it is blending into my skin so much more easily! I am super happy with the results so far and really excited to see how my skin is looking by the end of the week, of course i will be documenting my end result in a blog post! For more detailed information on Cetraben and to find out more about the challenge please read my previous post by clicking here.

That brings me onto my first step in creating that perfect base. I use my Cetraben essentially as my primer product. There are both cream and lotion versions of the product, i’m using the lotion as its slightly lighter on the skin. I massage that into my skin all over my face, even the eye area as its completely safe to use and works amazingly for prepping your eye makeup. My skin is then left feeling nice and smooth ready for makeup application.

For my foundation i am currently using the Loreal Infallible 24h, if you have dry skin i highly recommend using a liquid foundation. If your skin is going through a particularly bad flare up it may be useful to use a foundation which is paraben free as parabens are a known irritant for skin conditions. For more information on makeup suitable for problematic skin and the products you should be using i highly recommend watching this Makeup Masterclass video i found on the Cetraben youtube channel. It’s extremely helpful and i picked up some really useful tips. I apply my foundation with a Beauty Blender sponge, i find that using a sponge helps the makeup blend effortlessly into the skin dispersing just the right amount of product. That brings me on to my tip of ‘less is more’, don’t pile foundation on your face in an attempt to cover imperfections, use one pump of product on the back of your hand and remember its much easier to add more than it is to take away!

After my foundation i like to use a concealer underneath my eyes, down the centre of my nose and on my skin to highlight those parts of my face. At the moment i am loving the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer. It has an amazing brightening effect and feels weightless on the skin blending seamlessly. I again use my Beauty Blender to buff that in for a flawless look. As i mentioned earlier using Cetraben to prep my eye area makes concealer application so much easier.

To finish my base makeup i do like to set with a powder, however nothing too heavy as i don’t want it to emphasise my dry patches of skin and i want as much of my skins natural glow to still shine through as possible. I do find using powder helps my makeup stay in place a lot longer through out the day though and it takes away some of that unwanted shine! The product i am loving at the moment is the Laura Mercier Translucent powder. This is a super fine, colourless powder which just finishes the look perfectly without looking like your wearing anything too heavy. And that is my base makeup done!

So overall i would say don’t get too hung up on the makeup products you’re using, sometimes for me it could almost seem like absolutely no foundation looked good on me, but when i stripped it right back down to my actual skincare i started to see the results i was looking for! You can also check out my video on my Youtube Channel talking you through all of these steps and demoing the process. Make sure you stay tuned for my next post which will be the final instalment of my Cetraben 7 Day Challenge journey!

One of my favourite things to do when i have bit of free time in London is indulge myself in a browse around one of the many Beauty Hauls, and my all time favourite has to be that of Debenhams! I feel like Debenhams Beauty Haul is a bit of a hidden gem, its a much for laid back, friendly atmosphere than some of the other beauty hauls I’ve ventured into, the staff are lovely and approachable, and the variety of different brands is amazing.

Earlier this week me and my blogger bestie Becca were lucky enough to be invited by Debenhams to come in to store for the ultimate Get Valentines (or GALentines!) ready experience! You see Debenhams is more than just a department store, its a place to indulge in the full girly day out experience. We had the best day and came away feeling utterly spoilt, and i’m so excited i get to share my experience with you!

We began with the personal shopping suite, first up i just want to make you aware that this is free! Yes free! Located on the 3rd floor, any customer can have the luxury of using one, you are able to book in advance but also just pop in on the day to see if theres one available. The staff are super lovely and helpful, will assist with style advice, grabbing different sizes for you, and just generally making for a more enjoyable experience.

I decided to go for a little black dress which was from Red Herring – i absolutely love the lace cap sleeve detail, super cute! I felt like this would be a super wearable piece in my wardrobe which would suit so many different occasions. I teamed that with a pair of stunning black suede quilted heeled boots from Faith – again super wearable and i have to admit i am a little obsessed with black boots and these are now my current faves! They are SO comfy! I then finished the look with a classic trench coat from Debenhams Collection – this was so reasonably priced and super classy! A Burberry look without the price tag haha! I feel like i’m now never gunna have this coat off!

It was then time to move on to makeup! Now you guys know just how much i love makeup so having the chance to spend some quality one on one time with a makeup artist was a dream. I love doing my own makeup but i have to say theres something about getting your makeup done that feels such a special treat! We were treated to a makeover at the Makeup Forever counter, I had never actually tried any Makeup Forever products so this was even more exciting for me! I have to say i was absolutely wowed! The products are incredible, the girls were absolutely lovely, so helpful and i picked up so many useful tips (as well as a makeup wish list as long as my arm haha!) I loved having a more dramatic makeup look to what i would usually go for and it really helped me feel more confident to step out my comfort zone in future!

Last but by no means least we moved onto hair. We were treated to a blow dry at the Regis Salon which is situated inside Debenhams Oxford Street also on the 3rd floor. I went for a classic bouncy blow dry and was left feeling like a film star! My hair feels super soft and shiny even 3 days on. The difference a blow dry can make to your hair is really something i urge you to try out for yourself, its so worth it and i can completely see why people get so hooked! As always the staff were great, really friendly and put you at ease, i could of stayed and chatted away to my hair stylist all afternoon haha!

IMG_9707IMG_9367IMG_9345

I thoroughly enjoyed my GALentines Get Ready experience at Debenhams and i can’t thank the team enough for such a special day! If you are planning on getting ready for an event or you just fancy an afternoon of pamper i highly recommend checking Debenhams out you will not be disappointed! I actually loved my look so much i decided to wear the outfit the next day at a Red Carpet Premiere of the new film How To be Single! It was also day 2 of my blow dry which i didn’t touch and i ‘tried’ to recreate the makeup the best i could haha!

Hope you enjoyed this post as it was a little bit different to usual! Have you tried any of the Beauty Treatments at Debenhams?

This post is in collaboration with Debenhams but all opinions are my own.

If any of you watch me on youtube, or follow me on instagram, you will know that its no secret I’m a bit of a Zoella fangirl! So when the launch of her new makeup bags came about i simply had to get my hands on them!
Previously on my youtube channel i have done a couple of Zoella unboxing videos, the original range additions and the Christmas range, both videos went down really well and as soon as a new full range drops i will be definitely be doing a video review! But as these two bags have just launched i thought it would be nice to do a little blog post on them for you! 🙂 I absolutely love supporting ‘Team Internet’, and i think Zoe is a truly lovely and inspirational lady.
The first bag as you can see pictured below is the Zoella Beauty Winking Bag. Its a really handy little size to fit in all your beauty essentials for on the go. I like to keep things quite organised inside my handbag, so if I’m wanting to pack my lip stick and some powder to touch up through out a busy day i find bags of this size really helpful. Of course in true Zoe style the bag is super colourful, cute and eye catching – literally! If you tilt the bag up and down you will receive a friendly wink from Zoe! I thought this was such a nice touch and really makes the bag stand out from the crowd!
 w - 2
w - 1The next bag is slightly bigger than the above, but still a nice handy size that would comfortably fit in your handbag. I absolutely love the colour and the gorgeous glittery font, but what i think really makes this bag super special is that on the reverse Zoe has listed ‘A few of her Favourite Things’, i thought this was so cute and such a lovely personal touch!
w - 3 w - 4Both bags as always are available on Feel Unique and Superdrug. They are really reasonably priced at £8 and £10, a great gift or just as a little treat to yourself! 🙂
I am so happy to have these two gorgeous bags added to my collection and I’m excited for future Zoella Beauty ranges! Which one is your favourite?
Much Love

Happy New Year my lovelies! I hope 2016 is off to a wonderful start for you all. When it came to writing this years New Years Resolutions it came to my attention that many of them were beauty related, and as i’m a beauty blogger i thought it would be fun to share my top 10 beauty resolutions with you!
1. Drink more water. I’m sure your tired of hearing people say this but its definitely something i need to work towards. I’ve never been someone to drink water, intact i rarely manage one glass a day! So i think its time to swap my cans of pepsi max for a healthier alternative! As you may have heard me mention on my youtube channel i suffer with dry skin, so i feel like staying hydrated should be the obvious choice for me above any fancy moisturiser! I’m going to aim to drink the recommended 8 glasses a day, wish me luck! And please feel free to tweet me at any time reminding me haha!
2. Cleanse my skin. Now i’m gunna be honest with you guys, despite being a ‘beauty blogger’ up until about 4 months ago i was the girl who would go to bed with there makeup on, then at the last minute before i fell asleep i would grab a makeup wipe and half heartedly scrub off the days face. Terrible i know hahaha! So i’m now making it my mission to have a proper skincare routine and stick to it! I often get into a routine and then get lazy after a couple of days, but this time i am determined to find what works for my skin and be consistent. Double cleanse, moisturise, the lot! I can’t wait to see the results!
3. Make use of my products. As you all know, i am a lover of beauty products, i would actually go as far as say i have an addiction haha! So my beauty collection is quite a size! Yet i still manage to stick to the same 10-15 products, never really stepping out of my comfort zone. So this year i have decided to make a point of using different things! It will also really benefit my youtube channel as i’ll be using tons of different products in my makeup tutorials!
4. Dare to wear. Kind of linking to number 3, i need to really push myself outside of my comfort zone and try out some different makeup looks, and hair styles! I have definitely found my ‘everyday makeup’ face, but when i have that extra 10 minutes to get ready in a morning, or when it comes to planning makeup tutorials/blog posts, i really need to dare to wear some different looks. I convince myself that certain things don’t suit me, for example winged liner, when intact its probably just because I’m not used to seeing it on my face!
5. Clean my makeup brushes. This is something i really need to work on. Obviously makeup brushes become congested with product, and carry bacteria, so its really important to keep on top of cleaning them, something which i will admit i rarely do! I actually quite enjoy cleaning them, i find it therapeutic, so i just need to actually do it!
6. Mix up my hair routine. As well as makeup, i’m very lucky that i get a lot of hair products sent to me, and of course i buy lots of my own, yet i still seem to again stick to the same 5 or 6 products, never branching out when intact i could be missing out on discovering something great. I’m gunna change up my shampoo and conditioner every few weeks as its actually beneficial to your hair. Your hair can ‘get used to’ a product, and build up can start to happen, so its good to mix it up a bit!
7. Get my Beauty Sleep. Sleep is so important, we all know that, but its something i really struggle with. I find it so hard to switch off at night, and find myself scrolling through instagram in the early hours of the morning. Admittedly yes i do all the wrong things before i go to bed, caffeine, looking at screens, so i am going to make a conscious effort to try and get a good nights sleep which should in turn help my body, mind, and hopefully those pesky underage bags i seem to be carrying!
8. Tan! Everyones different, but personally i feel so much better with a tan, it suits me and it just gives me that boost of confidence! However i am from the UK and i don’t travel as much as a would like too, so getting a natural tan isn’t really gunna happen for me, so i need to keep on top of my tanning game! That means moisturise, exfoliate, the whole lot, and of course tanning from the bottle is so much safer and better for your skin!
9. Improve my makeup game. I am the first to admit, i am not the best when it comes to makeup, i just have a love for it and i like to share that love with others on the internet, that doesn’t make me the best makeup artist in the world, I’m just a regular girl. But i would absolutely love to improve my makeup skills, whether that be just watching more makeup tutorials and trying out new things, or doing a course, i would just love to be able to create better content for you, and look on fleek hahaha!
10. Have fun with beauty! My last resolution is definitely to have fun! Whether that be playing around with new makeup products, or having some chill time with a face mask hanging out with the girls, beauty products are there to be enjoyed! They are there to make us feel good, and its ok to take that extra 10 minutes in a morning to really sit down and enjoy putting your makeup on!
So there are my top 10 beauty resolutions for 2016, do you have any? I would love to know! Leave a comment below and we can chat!
My general 2016 Resolutions post will be up very soon!
